Term 1:  Tuesday 28th January - Friday 4th April

• Tuesday 28th January – Whole Staff Set Up Day (no students) 

• Wednesday 29th January – 4YO Teachers Organisational Day (no students)

• Thursday 30th January - All Staff Professional Development Day and First Aid Training (no students)

• Friday 31st January - 3YO Teachers Organisational Day (no students)

  First day for Second Year Kindergarten (4-5YO) children

• Monday 3rd February – 4YO Information session (refer to your “Welcome to 2025” email for your child’s group (Group A - 9.15 to 10.15, Group B - 11.15 - 12.15)

• Tuesday 4th February - 4YO Group A only start ( Dragonflies 8.30am - 1.30pm, Frogs 8.20 am - 1.20 pm)

• Wednesday 5th February - 4YO Group B only start (Dragonflies 8.30am - 1.30pm, , Frogs 8.20 am - 1.20 pm)

• Monday 10th February - All groups commence (normal 4YO hours)

• First day for First Year Kindergarten (3-4YO) children

• Thursday 6th February – 3YO Information Session (refer to your “Welcome to 2025” email for your child’s group (Beetles Group A - 8.45 - 10.00, Beetles Group B - 10.45 - 12.00, Turtles - Group A 8.30 - 9.45, Turtles Group B, 10.30 - 11.45)

• Friday 7th February - 3 year olds first day (staggered session times – see your information pack)

• Thursday 13th February – 3YOs continue with staggered sessions (for first 2 weeks of term)

• Friday 14th February - 3YOs Group A & B (Beetles 8.45 - 12.15, Turtles 8.30 - 12pm)

• Thursday 20th February - Normal session times commence for Beetles & Turtles)

• Monday 10th March - Labour Day (no students)

Term 2:     Tuesday 22nd April - Friday 4th July    

• Monday 21st April - Easter Monday (no students)

• Friday 25th April - ANZAC Day (no students)

• Monday 9th June - King’s Birthday (no students)

Term 3: Monday 21st July to Friday 19th September

Term 4:  Monday 6th October - Friday 19th December

Last Day for children in 2025

• Friday 12th December – First Year Kindergarten (3-4 year olds) - Early finish - Turtles 1.30 pm, Beetles 1.45 pm

• Monday 15th December – Second Year Kindergarten (4-5 year olds) - Early finish - Frogs 1.50 pm, Dragonflies 2pm

• Tuesday 16th December - Community clean-up day (family volunteers requested)

• Wednesday 17th December – Staff Professional Development Day

• Thursday 18th December – Clean-up day (staff only)

• Friday 19th December - Clean-up day (staff only)

Session Start Times

Are you worried about your child missing out on their kinder experience because of school drop off times?  All of our sessions start outdoors and we generally do not commence our indoor activities, mat time or yarn circle until at least an hour into the session.  Spending time outside at the start of the sessions helps children to settle, connect to the natural world and increases children’s creativity, problem solving and imagination.    

term fees - 2025:

Term Fees include program costs, incursion levy and equipment levy (levies payable at commencement). Please note the fees below are your “out of pocket” costs per term after government funding subsidies.

First Year Kindergarten (3-4 year olds*) Free

Second Year Kindergarten (4-5 year olds*) $330 per term (2025)

The unfunded (and therefore optional hours) for the second year kindergarten group will be the last hour of each day. Unfortunately there are no child care subsidy discounts for sessional kindergarten.

Additional voluntary contributions (requested of all families):

* A voluntary contribution of $400 per annum covering resources, materials and extra-curricular activities and incursions.

* A voluntary contribution of $150 per year for building and maintenance.

All enrolments are managed by the Boroondara Kindergarten Central Registration Scheme (BKCRS).
